Please tell me you’ve brought someone for me to skin.
She grins lopsidedly, a little nervous but not wanting to show it. “Well that someone certainly wouldn’t be me, I’m afraid. But that could be arranged if that’s what you really wanted.” She extends a hand tentatively by way of introduction. “Name’s Amanda. Knowing you though, you probably already know a lot about me. I’m what you could call a fan of your work.”
He rolls his head, pinning her with a stare, eyes flicking to her hand and then back up to her face before he quirks a questioning eyebrow. “It is ever so lovely to meet a fan.”
She slowly draws back the proffered hand and her fingers form a fist at her sides, mentally cringing a little bit at his reaction to her gesture. She was never quite good at these kinds of things.
Composing herself, she finally looks up and meets his gaze with her own resolute one.
“Yes, and it’s a pleasure to finally make your acquaintance in person. Although this isn’t simply a courtesy visit. I know you’re a rather busy individual to say the least, and I have a business proposition to make. The artifact in question is not an easy one to obtain, but I am quite confident in your purported skill with acquiring certain… rare objects. Are you interested?”
